2003 NOTES -- HIGHLIGHTS

(1) After being signed as a minor league free agent by the Pirates' during the offseason, spent the entire season with Altoona, batting 0.281 with 10 HR and 61 RBI in 125 games

(2) Endured an up-and-down season, batting 0.288 in April, .209 in May, .316 in June, .193 in July and .380 in August/September

(3) Games by position: 1B (68), LF (27), RF (14), DH (2)

(4) Ripped the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the 9th of the Curve's 6-5 win vs. Reading on 4/12

(5) Went 3-for-5 with a triple, double and a run scored on 4/20 vs. Bowie

(6) Broke 37-game homerless drought with a two-run shot on 5/22 @ New Haven

(7) Blasted a decisive two-run homer in the Curve's 3-1 win @ New Britain on 6/11

(8) Went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored on 6/29 @ Portland

(9) Put together a 10-game hitting streak from 6/29-7/17, during which he batted 0.306 (11-for-36)

(10) Hit two home runs in game one of the Curve's 7/19 doubleheader @ Erie

(11) Went hitless in 29 at-bats from 7/21-7/29

(12) Hit 0.484 (15-for-31) during an eight-game hitting streak from 8/10-8/18

(13) Went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI in 3-2 loss @ Bowie on 8/21

(14) Hit 0.469 (30-for-64) during a 17-game stretch from 8/10-8/26

(15) Batted 0.423 in his final 22 regular season games, raising his average .250 to .281 and reached base safely in 20 of those contests

(16) Went 5-for-14 (0.357) with a double and RBI in four Eastern League playoff games
