Three Components of The Academy Program

* Sports Science / Sports Medicine
* Academic Activities

These players were selected after a very thorough scouting and selection process conducted by the best coaches in this country
The players will embark upon an intensive training and playing program that will see them come out better baseball players, both physically and mentally
The best coaches this country has to offer will guide them through a program that will ensure their skills and techniques are enhanced, their knowledge of the game develops and their on and off field discipline is improved
At the same time, the players will earn a greater understanding of the sports science/sports medicine component of the game, whilst at the same time maintaining their scholastics studies
It is a rigorous schedule that will ensure both their on field and personal development is on the right track
The MLBAAP, supported by Major League Baseball and the Australian Sports Commission, is a cutting edge holistic development program unequalled anywhere in the world
Those offered scholarships in this program are given the lifetime opportunity to reach great heights in their chosen sport

2005 MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL AUSTRALIAN ACADEMY PROGRAM
The 2005 Major League Baseball Australian Academy Program is fast approaching and coordination for the program is well under way
The 2005 Program will again be conducted at the Palm Meadows Baseball Complex, with athletes and staff staying at the Radisson Resort - Palm Meadows, for the duration of the six (6) week program
The Academy will be commencing on the 30th of June and concluding on the 14th of August
