Ferbedo Grater

Another 'attaches-to-a-bench' item for our kitchen
This brings our collection to three items
Mincer, Slicer and now a Grater

It is in lovely condition

It stands approx 23cm high when screwed to a bench top
It is in very good condition, with the blades just needing a clean
The plunger is the original wood block
It is a fantastic item!!!

Antique Nutmeg Grater
Circa 1930
With the original wooden plunger
Another fascinating piece of early kitchenalia
This one is complete and in working order - nothing is broken
There is paint worn from handle and metalwork
Also there is light surface rust to the metal, consistent with its age
The words on the side are "FRIPU 221" and "Germany" is embossed on the metalwork (see pic)
It measures approx.30cm long (to screw on piece) and is 22cms wide (to end of handle)
A similar nutmeg grater appears in the 'Carters Price Guide to Antiques 2004 Edition'
It is listed on page 491 and the price $55.00 to $60.00

It has been on display in my grandmother's kitchen for many years

Cast Iron Table Mounted Herb Grinder
Made by Stahlreiber No 1/3
The herbs are inserted into the top of the grinder
and pushed in with the timber block
Except for some paint loss, it is in excellent condition
The grinder is 25cm high (excluding the timber block)
