Royal Winton six piece breakfast set - Old Cottage chintz - pattern number 4632 - a stunning vintage set in the popular Old Cottage chintz - the pink and blue flowers and of course the gold trim - I believe these pieces date between 1945 and 1950 - very gently used with no chips, no cracks, no crazing on teapot, teacup, tray and toast rack - there is minimal wear to the gold - the creamer and jam pot do have some crazing inside but this does not impact beauty or use - also, the jam pot has some light stains - overall, considering the age, all are in great condition! - this is a must have for the Royal Winton collector - marked Made in England - Countess teapot is 4.25 inches high, creamer is 2.5 inches high, jam pot is 1.25 inches high, footed teacup is 2.75 inches high, and the tray is 10.125 inches by 8.625 inches - item location is Alberta Canada - listed with a Buy-it-Now price of USD$569.99 = AUD$643.30 - July 2007

Royal Winton Summertime breakfast set - this set is complete and is in excellent condition except for the toast holder which has been repaired and this is not noticable from the top but from the underside - the set consists of a individual teapot, a cream and sugar, a tea cup, a toast holder and the undertray - the pattern is chintz with pink roses, yellow, blue and white flowers on a white background - the pattern was discontinued in the 1960's - the teapot measures 3.25 inches in height, the cup measures 2.375 inches in height and 3.25 inches in diameter, the creamer measures 2 inches in height, the sugar measures 1.25 inches in height and 1.75 inches in diameter, the toast rack measures 1.75 inches in height and the handled undertreay measures 10 inches by 8.5 inches - item location is Shelburne Ontario Canada - this set lists for over USD$900.00 (AUD$1016.25) in The Charlton Standard Catalogue of Chintz, which was published in 1996 - listed with a Buy-it-Now price of USD$350.00 = AUD$383.95 - July 2007

This is a Royal Winton Summertime breakfast set - it is marked as being manufactured in 1995 - the entire set is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks - the base measures 10 inches by 9 inches - the set contains a tea pot, cup, creamer, sugar, toast holder and the base which is indented where each piece fits - although I did not buy this as a second, I suspect it is because the Royal Winton stamp on the bottom of the pieces is scratched - item location is Chandler Arizona United States - listed with a starting price of USD$30.00 = AUD$34.00 - July 2007

A lovely breakfast set in the Hazel pattern by Royal Winton Grimwades of England - age would be around the 1930's - overall, the set is in good condition for its age - the teapot is in good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing - the toast rack is in good condition with no chips or cracks, but there is crazing to the off white section on the underside of it - the milk jug is in good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing - the egg cup is in good condition with no chips or cracks, but there is crazing to the off white section of this item - the tea cup is in good condition with no chips or cracks, but there is crazing to the off white section of this item - the tray is in good condition with no chips or cracks, but there is crazing to the off white section on the underside of the tray - the tray also has a tiny rough spot (0.2cm) which is a manufacturing mark to the pottery on the rim - all of the gold guilding is in good condition - the tray is 25.5cm x 21.5cm, the tea cup is 8.5cm in diameter x 6.5cm tall, the egg cup is 4.5cm in diameter x 3cm tall, the milk jug is 5cm in diameter x 6cm tall, the toast rack is 7.5cm x 6cm x 5cm, and the teapot is 8cm in diameter x 10cm tall, excluding handle and spout - item location is Windsor New South Wales Australia - listed with a Buy-it-Now price of $2199.95 - July 2007

Today I have an absolutey beautiful Royal Winton Summertime breakfast set - from around the 1930's - everything is in excellent condition except the toast rack which has been broken and repaired - all the gilding is in excellent condition - there are no chips, cracks or repairs - the teapot and cup don't have any crazing but the rest of the set does - the glaze and the pattern are in excellent shape as well - the tray measures 10 inches by 8.5 inches - the Countess (impressed on the bottom) shape teapot measures 3.75 inches high to the top of the finial by 5 inches from the spout to the back of the handle - the cup is different, having eight flat surfaces to it and it measures 2.5 inches high by 4 inches from the rim to the end of the handle - the creamer measures 2 inches high and 3 inches from spout to the end of the handle - the sugar bowl is 1.25 inches high and 1.75 inches in diameter - the toastrack 2.75 inches long by 2.5 inches wide by 2 inches high - all the pieces are fully backstamped with the same mark and all are marked 775 in gold - the toast rack is too small to stamp - the background is called bone - this set is really very pretty and you don't see them around very often - item location is South Australia Australia - listed with a Buy-it-Now price of AUD$950.00 - August 2007

Offered for auction is a very sweet complete six piece breakfast set made by Royal Winton Grimwades, England and titled Apple Blossom - the set consists of a tray with inserts for each item, a toast holder, teacup, single size teapot with lid and a cream pitcher and a sugar - marked on the bottom of each piece is Royal Winton, Grimwades, England along with some markings, which may either be initials or numbers - the tray measures 10 inches by 8.75 inches - the teapot measures 4 inches tall, which includes the lid and 5 inches wide which includes the spout and the handle - the cup measures 2.5 inches tall and 4.25 inches wide, which includes the handle - the toast holder measures 1.75 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide - the cream pitcher measures 2.5 inches tall and 3.25 inches wide, including the handle - the sugar measures 1.125 inches tall and 1875 inches in diameter - sadly this set is not perfect! - there is a small chip off the lip of the teacup and another chip off the lip of the sugar - also, my camera has also picked up the crazing on these china pieces, which is not uncommon for Royal Winton china - however, the crazing is not as visible to the naked eye as it is from the pictures taken by me - item location is Ontario Canada - listed with a starting price of USD$9.99 = AUD$12.00 - August 2007

It is my privilege to present for consideration a magnificent Royal Winton Red Roof breakfast set - Red Roof is one of Royal Winton’s classic patterns and it is very sought after - the breakfast set is complete, and it consists of the tray, teapot, cup, creamer, sugar bowl and toast rack - it has the black stamped under glaze maker’s mark of the style that was introduced in 1942 - the tray measures 26cm (10.25 inches) across the handles and when the teapot is in place on the tray it is 10cm (4 inches) tall - this delightful set is in excellent condition - the motif colour is strong and bold - there are no stains, chips, cracks or repairs - as is most often the case with production of this style and vintage, it dose exhibit some crazing, but this is nothing hideous and I mention it only for complete accuracy - there is just a hint of wear to the gilding, and I am not exaggerating when I say just a hint - Royal Winton’s Red Roof is super hot property on the collectables block and breakfast sets are the hardest to come by and the most sought after of any item in the Red Roof range - it always sells, so don’t miss out on this magical set - item location is Kingsville Victoria Australia - listed with a Buy-it-Now price of AUD$1500.00 - August 2007

Up for auction is a fine Royal Winton six piece Floral breakfast teaset - I do not know a great deal about these sets, but have heard these Royal Winton breakfast sets are very desirable and collectable - as you can see, the set has a nice floral design - it is also in very fine original condition with no chips, cracks, staining, or repairs - there is a nice teapot, tea cup, cream, sugar, and toast rack, along with a nice fitted tray - the teapot also has a patent number on the back of the lid, being 301262 - the tray measures 10.25 inches long, the teacup is a nice regular size, and the teapot is 6 inches long by 4 inches wide, and sits 4.5 inches tall - the teapot holds two perfect cups of tea or coffee - I have no idea what this set would be worth, but it is really nice to find one in this fine original condition - it would make a great addition to any collection, and is also nice and practical for use - item location is Ontario Canada - listed with a starting price of USD$12.25 = AUD$14.50 - September 2007

For auction is this wonderful vintage Royal Winton breakfast set - as a couple of pieces are slightly damaged, it would be perfect for replacement parts or a great restoration project - the design is a striking burgundy or maroon on a creamy white ground with lots of gold chintz all over the maroon - the damage is as follows (1) there is a small flake off the front corner of the tray (2) the cup has had the handle stapled back on many years ago (3) there is also some crazing inside the cup that is a little discoloured (4) the teapot lid has been repaired I think, as there is a crack inside it and there are also a few chips inside - but it looks perfect from the outside!! - the rest, being the little jug, slop bowl and toast rack, are all perfect - item location is Melbourne Victoria Australia - listed with a starting price of AUD$20.00 - September 2007
