A note from Peter Flintoff on Wednesday 3rd February 2010

G’day Geoff, and I have received your order for the latest Almanac and have posted it off

I think I told you that I met Brett during some Australia v Taipei games at my local club, Waverley,
last season and, as you know, he is a most impressive young man

I tried my best to discourage him from retirement, but he was quite adamant
that the time had come and he wasn’t prepared to lower the standards he had established for himself
Once again, very impressive!

Wish him all the best from us, but I don’t think he’ll need it !!

I’ve attached something we usually send for you ... it was a great way to round off a career at this level !!
