Auction #01
Vintage Art
Deco 1940's PYE Electric Fan
Just the
thing to beat the heat this hot summer
A Pye brand electric fan from the the late 1940's - I estimate
this era based on the styling
It is in good working order and can be used in a fixed position
or set to oscillate
It is a two speed fan - slow and fast
It has very solid cast metal base and motor housing
These are finshed in the original grey hammer finish paint
I love the styling
The housing is bullet shaped and the base has a great streamlined
feel to it
There is only the slightest of wear to the paint
The blades are also in good order and these are metal with light
blue/grey powdercoating
It has the speed selector at the front of the base with a slide
control
It has its original PYE badge and lead with a 3-pin plug
It operates on 240 volts
It measures 16" high with a grille diameter of 13.5"
The fan weighs 6 kilograms (unpacked) and is a very solid item
Very nice deco fan in good order
Item location - Bendigo, Victoria Australia
This auction ended on Sunday 29th January 2006
The starting price was set at $29.95 and there were thirteen bids
during the auction
The final selling
price was $146.50
Auction #02
Vintage Oscillating
Fan - Revelair by Celco
Here we have a vintage fan
It is a metal fan base and blades with a chrome safety cover
Brand - Revelair by Celco
In working order but, because of it's age,
it is advisable to have it checked out if you intend using it
Fan is three speed
More efficient than today's fans
In good used condition - has not been abused
It measures approx 45cms high and 34cms across
The fan is a gray hammer finish with white blades
A great addition for the collector!!!
Item location - Chiltern
Victoria Australia
This auction ended on Tuesday 14th February 2006
The starting price was set at $25.00
There were no bids!!!
Auction #03
Morphy Richards
Oscillating Desk Fan Eames Era
One beautiful 1950's Morphy Richards single speed oscillating
desk fan
Very 50's sheik!!!
Vintage - Collectable - Rare
It has an adjustable chrome stand
All paintwork and chrome is in good condition
There is a slight and almost unnoticeable crack in the plastic
part of the base
This is mentioned for accuracy only
and it has no bearing on the operation or appearance of the fan
It runs as if it is new!!!
Quietly and smoothly with a very powerful breeze
Please understand that this is not "a new from the factory
item"
It is a fifty year old piece of machinery
Although I believe this fan has much use ahead of it, there can
be no guarantee
Having said that, it is a classic not found in the very ordinary
fans produced today!!!
(Note - the auction
details did not list the size of this fan)
Item location - Blue
Mountains NSW Australia
This auction ended on Friday 17th February 2006
The starting price was set at $85.00
There were no bids!!!
This fan was relisted by the seller, with the auction finishing
on Monday 27th February 2006
I have decided to relist this fan straight away at a reduced
price
If it does not sell now we will keep it
It is a very fine example and well worth this asking price
The starting price was lowered and set at $65.00 and there was
one bid during the auction
The final selling
price was $65.00
