"Good games"

#01 - The Sea Dogs started a game on 17th June, but it was suspended after 13 innings due to rain - the game was continued Monday 6th August - around 7 weeks later!!! - Brett stepped into the box, hit a single up the middle, and drove in the game winning run!!!

"Games to forget!!!"

#01 - bottom of the ninth inning with runners at first and second and nobody out!!! - and Brett comes in to bat as the potential tying run - left handed pitcher, and worked the count well to be three balls and two strikes!!! - but then grounded into a double play!!! - "resulted in another missed opportunity" for the Sea Dogs - Thursday 9th August 2001

#02 - "A day to forget!!!" - during a double-header on Saturday 1st September 2001, Brett had six at-bats - and ???

"Field of Dreams"

This is an annual promotion by the Portland Sea Dogs and was held on Sunday 26th August 2001 - the day is based upon the movie of the same name, with the players entering the field through a corn field "built" in rightfield - the players also wear "old style" uniforms which are auctioned off after the game

#01 - With a batting average of 0.296, Brett was in ninth position in the entire Marlins organisation!!! - Thursday 19th July 2001

#02 - Statistics from the Florida State League "League Leaders" list - as at the 17th August 2001 - Brett was promoted from the Manatees to the Sea Dogs over a month ago, but he is still in the "Top 5" in two offensive categories!!! - batting average and slugging percentage

#03 - The end of the 2001 season!!! - Sunday 2nd September 2001 - and Brett finished amongst the leaders in the Florida State League "League Leaders" in batting average and slugging percentage!!!

The Season is Over!!!
