Off-Season
Back in Cairns!!!
Brett returned from the United States on Wednesday 22nd September
2004
Games were still
being played in the Cairns Baseball League Competition
with the Finals being held during late September/early October
Brett was invited
to join
Shogun-Heat Baseball
Club
and played his first game on Wednesday night 29th September 2004
He is not able to
play enough games to qualify for the Finals Series
and could only participate in the regular fixture games

League Presentation Night
A note from Sharon who
went along to the Awards
The League Presentation Night was
nice
Rick Doo was the "MC"and he spoke really well
He said some nice things about Brett and talked about Beijing
and what on earth would Sharon be like if he came home with a
Gold Medal!!
Anne did a presentation to Brett on behalf of the League
and he was given a trophy which read
"In recognition of your achievments in 2004 and your continued
support to CBL"
Anne had to stop twice cause she was teary (she is worse than
me!)
Brett umpired the first game (the Semi) when they had no umpire
He did a really good job and offered to do the finals
They were going to get a couple of guys from Townsville to come
and do them
Brett did a great job, clear calls and professional attitude
and there were no complaints from any of the players
