Rebuilding of

Diamond One

The two photos below show how the field has looked for a number of years ...

... and this shot is the proposed 'new look' for the start of the 2010 season ...

thanks to the efforts of Ritchie Mounsey

The field work commenced on Wednesday 23rd September
and was completed on Sunday 4th October 2009

Below are a number of shots from the first cut by the grader
until the seeding and watering of the new surface

VIDEO

Videos were shot every day during the twelve day rebuilding program and these have now been edited, subtitled and merged into one file and this is below

The video runs for 29 minutes ... and it covers everything from the first "shovel full of dirt" until the ground was seeded and then watered for the first time

The file is very large ... in fact, it is 94.8Mb
However, it is in 'flash-flv' format and should begin playing almost immediately if you have a broadband internet connection ... any download speed of 1500kbps or above would be suitable

Should the video stop-and-start as it is playing, I would suggest that after initially clicking the 'PLAY - >' button, immediately click on the 'PAUSE - II' button and give the download a few minutes to get ahead of the video playback
