Gardenia

"Forever More"

This first photo shows both the Gardenia and Bougainvillea which are side by side on the patio ...

... and here is the Gardenia

It continues to grow very well
There have been no more flowers since the beautiful display during January which is shown on Page One

We have noticed that this plant is the "favourite food" of a variety of different caterpillars !!
Continually flicking them off and the damage can be seen in a couple of spots in this photo

Saturday 26th March 2016

It is starting to flower again !! ... and a few buds can be seen in this shot

Ready to open ...

... and here they are !!

There are around twenty buds spread over the plant

The next day ...

... and then the next

The flowers do not last very long
They open white and change to yellow the next day then start to collapse immediately ... but they are terrific !!

Here is a look at all "Tanya's Plants" on the patio ...

... with both the Gardenia and Bougainvillea growing beautifully

The Gardenia has finished flowering ... and it was a fantastic display for just over a week !!

The Gardenia and Bougainvillea ... still growing beautifully !!

and supports have been put up for the Bougainvillea

and we are hoping it begins to flower ... soon !!

Well, the above "leaf disease" does not appear to have had much of an effect on the plant
After taking the shots above, the "yellow leaves" were all picked off, along with others over the next few days

Now look at it !! ... Flowering Again !!

... and the Gardenia is still flowering beautifully !!
